We’re already on week three of the season?

We’ve hit midweek, and while we’re still recovering from the Jets loss, the Patriots are back to work and looking ahead to the Falcons this Sunday. The first injury report of the week was released a little while ago, and there are a few changes from last week.

Jerod Mayo did not practice today, which was expected, but Wes Welker also did not practice, which is a bit of a surprise. ESPN’s Michael Smith reported on the air today though that Welker is expected to play on Sunday. Welker did not play against the Jets, and was limited in practice last week. The fact that he did not practice at all today seems to indicate a step back.

In the “Limited Participation” group there were a few new names in there. New names to this list include Brandon Meriweather, who missed some time in the Jets game with the ankle injury. Chris Baker apparently also has a sore ankle. Dan Connolly, Julian Edelman, Myron Pryor, Matthew Slater and Terrence Wheatley are right where they were last week. On the list last week, but not there this week are linebackers Adalius Thomas and Rob Ninkovich.

Tom Brady is still listed under the full participation group with his right shoulder.
